What is Lawn Honey?

Lawn Honey is an amazing polymer that actually binds soil and fertilizer particles together at the root zone for healthier grass and plants. Lawn Honey is a super soil penetrant that has excellent filtration properties to get water and nutriets into the root zone where they are needed most. It helps prevent salt build-up and will reduce plant stress. Lawn Honey will not hold excess moisture and allows are for excellent flow-through of heavy rains. It is perfect for preventing puddling in high rainfall areas. Lawn Honey is perfect for use with new seed or sod.

Lawn Honey comes in a spray bottle with a hose-end attachment. Simply, hook up hose, and spray Lawn Honey on your lawn. One application lasts 4-6 weeks.

How does Lawn Honey work?

Lawn Honey is a negatively charged, high molecular weight linear copolymer. Soil particles and nutrients positively charged. In the presence of aqueous fluids such as water and water-soluble nutrients, the negatively charges copolymer structure of Lawn Honey will bind to the positively charged soil particles and nutriets. This mixture of soil particles, nutrients, and Lawn Honey is bound tightly together. The net effect of this process improved water infiltration into soil.

Lawn Honey's micronized particles have a high molecular weight and are soluble in water.

In the presence of water, Lawn Honey will form long microscopic molecular chains, which are negatively charged.

Soil particles suspended in water are positively charged. As a result, Lawn Honey attracts the soil particles.

Lawn Honey's negative charge also attracts positively charged nutrients applied through fertilizations, such as nitrogen, potassium, and calcium (NH4+, K+, Ca++)

The clusters are too large to remain suspended in water. By attracting and binding soil particles and nutrients, soil loss and nutrient run-off is significantly reduced. The resulting open soil structure greatly improves plant growth and health.

How does the product break down?

Lawn Honey will stay active over a period of 4 - 6 weeks and then breaks down into carbon dioxide, water ammonia.

How will Lawn Honey help me in irrigation?

Research has shown that Lawn Honey delivers greater irrigation efficiency through improved water penetration and infiltration, less soil movement and erosion, cleaner runoff, less pesticide movement, and decreased water usage. A 30% reduction in irragation can be expected.

What are the other benefits of Lawn Honey?

Research trials have shown that soil nutrient retention is greatly increased with the use of Lawn Honey. Positively charged nutrients are electrostatically bound to the negatively charged sites along the Lawn Honey polymer chain. This bond is strong enough to slow leaching, thus making these nutriets available over long time periods for plant uptake. Further laboratory results show over 30% additional nitrogen is retained in the soil where Lawn Honey has been used. Lawn Honey, through its binding activity, has key environmental benefits such as the limitation of soil erosion through cohesion, the reduction of soil compaction due to surface roughness from agglomeration, and significant reduction in soil, fertilizer, and pesticide loss due to run-off.

How do I apply Lawn Honey?

Lawn Honey can be applied simply by attaching the bottle to a water hose. Turn the hose on and sprsy your lawn with a sweeping motion. There is no need to coat an area more than once.

How often do I need to apply Lawn Honey?

Lawn Honey will last up to 4 - 6 weeks in the soil. For best results, apply Lawn Honey at 5 week intervals to maximize product benefits.

What about mixing with liquid fertilizer?

Lawn Honey can be mixed with liquid fertilizer as it is applied.

What about applying it with pesticides?

It is not recommended. Lawn Honey may enhance the activity of the pestcide and may cause turf damage in hot, dry weatherr conditions.

Is Lawn Honey a replacement to my current wetting agents?

No. Wetting agents work by making "water wetter" but do nothing as a soil conditioner. Lawn Honey actually works as a soil conditioner increasing net water infiltration by maintaining and improving soil structure.

How much does Lawn Honey cost?

Lawn Honey costs less that $3.00 per 1, 000 square feet or turf, and will pay for itself in reduced watering fertilizer coasts. Our refill packet costs less than $2.00 per 1, 000 square feet.

Will Lawn Honey reduce soil sodium levels?

Since Lawn Honey significantly increase net water infiltration, soil sodium is moved downward through soil profile away from the primary root zone. Studies have indicated reduced soil sodium levels from 15% over 40% in the top twelve inches depending upon soil type.
